ENR's Global Best Project Winners 2016

Attention Construction nerds! The winners to the 4th annual Global Best Projects competition have been announced by Engineering News-Record! 23 projects were selected from 15 different countries in 18 categories. These basically represent the cutting edge, what's what of construction design, engineering and workmanship. Only a couple of the projects are based here in the US, one that sounds particularly interesting is the Stanford Energy Systems Innovation.

Developed independently by Stanford, it is a " transformation of university energy supply from a 100 percent fossil-fuel-based combined heat and power plant to grid-sourced electricity and a more efficient electric heat recovery system."
