TransWorld Legals Terex Demag AC 220-5 in California
We owe a HUGE THANKS to Terex for featuring a TransWorld Boom Dolly in their booth at Conexpo 2017!
A few months ago, Terex approached us with their criteria to make their brand new DEMAG AC 220-5 roadable in the California market. This was a challenge because the dolly needed to have a stretched, articulating frame, yet had to be under 8,000 LBS!
Our standard tube-frame boom dolly of this size weighs around 9,500-10,000 LBS depending on the tower design. To meet the challenge, we used a custom-designed high strength steel frame.
The best part is, the whole crane-dolly package can travel legally with the auxiliary hoist, jib and hook block! What a great benefit for the crane owner to arrive to a jobsite with all of that already on the crane!
